School Equity Reports
The District of Columbia released the fourth annual citywide School Equity Reports. The reports describe how the District is performing on a variety of measures of educational equity, including attendance, discipline, student movement, and academic growth.
What is an Equity Report?
Equity in education refers to all students receiving the same caliber of education regardless of their race, ethnicity, economic status, special education status or other factors. These reports give our schools, families and communities transparent and comparable information related to equity across all DC schools.
The Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE), District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS), the DC Public Charter School Board (DC PCSB) in consultation with public charter schools and the Office of Deputy Mayor for Education partnered to create these annual Equity Reports. Equity Reports are a complement to our School Quality Reports.
