Norton says DC’s home rule alternative to DCPS is charters 

Board will vote on new charter applications at this month's meeting.  Meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at Carlos Rosario PCS.

Brittany Albrecht joined Academy of Hope PCS as an AmeriCorps volunteer and quickly rose to become the lead reading teacher.

Kim Hargett is a first year DC Teaching Fellow and teaches 5th grade math at DC Scholars PCS. Her hard work, drive to improve her craft, and dedication to ensuring all of her scholars succeed is evident every day in her classroom. 

Jennifer Ramsey is a third grade Science Teacher at KIPP DC - Heights Academy PCS.

Ms. Niyesha Coleman is an invaluable asset to Cesar Chavez PCS. Not only does she do an exceptional job of educating her own scholars, but she invests in every member of the Chavez community.

Since 2012, Jordan Kerstetter has been a PK teacher and teacher-mentor at DC Prep’s Edgewood Elementary Campus.

Today, April 14, Judge Ronna Beck upheld the February 12, 2015 decision of PCSB to revoke the charter of Dorothy I. Height Community Academy Public Charter School (CAPCS).

At Wednesday's, first ever Twitter Town Hall PCSB took questions about the five charter applications received in the 2015 Spring cycle. 

DC Public Charter School Board will be hosting its first Twitter Town Hall on Wednesday, April 8 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. to discuss the five new charter applications currently open for public comment.
