An independent auditor conducts, in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America, an audit of DC PCSB's financial statements. Additionally, we also share information about DC PCSB staff salaries on this page. 

The School Reform Act of 1995 (SRA) requires applicants seeking to establish a new public charter school in DC to file a petition with DC PCSB, as the sole authorizer. This archive displays previously approved and denied charter school applications from 2011 through 2025.

The 2025 Charter Application Guidelines explains the process by which applicants submit their petitions and DC PCSB evaluates them.
