DC PCSB approved ASPIRE, our academic accountability system. Read more about it here.
DC PCSB’s Performance Management Framework (or PMF) is used to produce the annual School Quality Report for each public charter school for which it provides oversight. DC PCSB uses the tool to review each school’s academic performance annually. Families can use the individual schools' report to find out how it is performing and use it as a resource when selecting a new school.
As population forecasts for school-age children decline and city conditions change, DC PCSB must create the policies for thoughtful charter sector planning. This policy offers three pathways to support the sector’s sustainability, efficiency, and quality. They are mergers, standard acquisitions, and emergency acquisitions. DC PCSB will review these reorganization requests in alignment with this policy.
