Per DC Official Code ยง 38-2916, a Public Education Finance Reform Commission (PEFRC) has been appointed to study and report on revisions to the Uniform Per Student Funding Formula (UPSFF). The Commission will convene on Tuesday, September 27th from 4:30-7:00pm at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library, Room A-10, 901 G Street NW, Washington, DC 20001. The last 30 minutes of the meeting will be reserved for public inquiry and comment with Collaborative Communications Group and The Finance Project. The meeting location is accessible to persons with disabilities.

The agenda is anticipated to include issues of equity, adequacy, affordability and transparency related to the maintenance of uniformity of funding between DCPS and public charter schools and will determine funding levels needed by DCPS and public charter schools to provide educational services sufficient to enable students to meet the academic standards of the District of Columbia. Ultimately, the Commission will produce recommendations for revisions to the UPSFF for consideration in the development of the Fiscal Year 2013 budget for the District of Columbia.
