Notice of Petition to Amend Charter: Enrollment Ceiling Increase – Academy of Hope PCS

The District of Columbia Public Charter School Board (DC PCSB) announces an opportunity for the public to submit comment on a request from Academy of Hope Adult Public Charter School (PCS) to amend its charter agreement by increasing its enrollment ceiling. The school submitted its request on July 1, 2025. The school proposes increasing its enrollment ceiling to total 1,500 students. Over the span of three years beginning in school year (SY) 2026 – 27, the school plans to add 500 students to its maximum enrollment. Opening in 2014, Academy of Hope PCS educates 997 adult learners across Wards 5 and 8.
