Special Initiatives Manager, School Performance

Francesca Woods leads cross-functional projects that support school improvement and performance while serving as an advisor to the Chief School Performance Officer. Prior to joining DC PCSB, Ms. Woods held roles in both DC Public Schools and a Maryland-area public school district. Her experience spans classroom instruction, instructional leadership, and district-wide strategic planning. She has led professional development to strengthen instructional practices, increase student engagement, and improve academic outcomes. She also has a strong background in leveraging advanced data tools and programming languages to drive data-informed decisions and enhance operational efficiency. Ms. Woods holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Howard University and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Notre Dame of Maryland University.
