Four New Innovative Schools to Open This School Year

For the upcoming academic school year, four new public charter schools will open.  Three of the four schools will serve students in the foster care system, have learning disabilities or difficulties managing behavior.  

The new schools:  

  • Children’s Guild PCS. A school offering individualized learning ranging from tiered support for special education students to rigorous college prep for the accelerated student.
  • Monument Academy PCS.  A residential boarding school for children who have experienced stress and trauma, specifically students who are either in foster care or in contact with the child-welfare system. 
  • Washington Global PCS. A school offering international and research-based academic program that includes project-based learning and small learning communities and more. 
  • Kingsman Academy PCS. A school targeting students that are over-aged and under-credited, have attendance problems, or behavioral or emotional disabilities.

New schools will serve students in the foster care system, that have learning disabilities or difficulties managing behavior.
