Nobody can tell the story better than the students and their families.

On March 20, DC International Public Charter School (DCI) hosted its first Council Day. The new language immersion public charter school will serve grades 6-12 and open in August. Roughly, 30 parents urged Chairman Mendelson and Councilmembers Catania, Wells, Bowser, Evans, and Grosso or their legislative staff to restore $6 million in city funding that will renovate their permanent school building. They also educated the councilmembers about the need for a language immersion middle and high school, like DCI.  The parents plan to continue their efforts to ensure DCI has a permanent location.

Prior to Council Day, more than a dozen DCI parents and students testified at a hearing on March 15 that Councilmember David Catania held.

Nobody can tell the story better than the students and their families.
