New Charter School Applications Due March 3 – Updated Submission Guidelines
Please follow these directions for submitting a 2014 Charter School Application to DC Public Charter School Board (PCSB)
Email two electronic versions of your application – the redacted and full version – to firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday March 3, no later than 5:00 p.m. Please label the redacted and full application files clearly. Because of the large file size of the applications, applicants are strongly urged to save your application in the cloud using applications such as Google Drive or Dropbox and send a URL link to email@example.com. You will receive an email from PCSB confirming receipt of the application.
The electronic versions of the application will be checked for all components using the application verification form. PCSB will send an email verifying that your electronic submission is complete. If there are missing components, PCSB will notify you, and you will have until Tuesday March 4 at 12 p.m. to resubmit. (Please be sure to also update your hard copies before submitting them to PCSB, so that they match the accepted electronic versions.) Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
PCSB will not deem your charter school application submission to be complete until PCSB receives by Wednesday March 5 at 5 p.m.:
- One unbound and four bound hard copies of your full application
- $150 cashier's check or money order made payable to DC Public Charter School Board; and
- Forms for background check
PCSB will review the hard copies to ensure they are complete and identical to the full electronic versions. We encourage you to submit the hard copies to PCSB on Tuesday March 4, if possible.
