High School Graduation Requirements Approval Process Policy

June 20, 2016

Requirements for graduation must match or exceed those for District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) high school students (see below). By July 15 of each school year in which seniors will graduate, each high school must forward to the DC Public Charter School Board (DC PCSB) its requirements for graduation. Requirements will be reviewed at the November Board meeting, and schools will be notified promptly of the Board’s decision.

All diplomas issued by charter schools under the DC PCSB must be signed by the DC PCSB chair. Please send diplomas to the DC PCSB office for signature no later than two weeks before graduation.
