Remember: Your first and best source of information is always the school's leadership (e.g., principal, executive director). Please do not hesitate to contact your student's school for help.

When a parent or community member reaches out to the DC Public Charter School Board with a complaint against a school, our primary goal is to ensure that the school has

  • Followed its complaint process in order to address the parent’s concern (See D.C. Code § 38- 1802.04(c)(13)).
  • Compliant with its charter and charter agreement.
  • Has not violated any applicable laws.
