DC Public Charter School Board (PCSB) is accountable to the public. Board members are nominated by the Mayor and confirmed by the D.C. Council. PCSB is required to submit an annual report and financial audit by July 30. PCSB also testifies before the D.C. Council on issues as needed, and interacts with the Deputy Mayor for Education, and DC agencies. The D.C. Public Charter School Board (PCSB) is accountable to the students, parents, the Mayor and the Council of the District of Columbia, and all other D.C. citizens.  Board members are appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the Mayor. The PCSB is required to submit an annual report and financial audit at the end of each fiscal year, and to present testimony and answer questions at public accountability hearings held by the Council and the Mayor.  PCSB staff leadership regularly report to the Deputy Mayor for Education, and collaborate with other D.C. Government agencies that impact youth and families.
